Rainbow Science

Did you know that rainbow was invented in 1659? Yes, indeed. Before 1659, people lived without

rainbows.

This beautiful creation was invented by British scientist Albert Rainbow. Although, there are rumours that two years earlier science society was presented with some blueprints of rainbow by Russian scientist Yelena Raduga, but these are plain speculations.

Another fun fact - there are two types of rainbows: solar (daytime) rainbow and nocturnal (night-time) rainbow. Until recently, nobody had seen nocturnal rainbow, because of the dark. But some military operations in Afghanistan were halted, because soldiers with night vision goggles just stopped, staring at the nocturnal rainbows, which are smaller and usually appear in groups of 7 to 15 rainbows.
